Come join us at Studio Hue 53 for a fun and creative Stamp Making Workshop, Con Mucho Amor Edition!
Learn how to make your own stamp of choice through a process called block printing. We’ll provide you with a rubber block, cutter for carving, brayer roller, ink and a tote bag to stamp your creation on. Yesi will guide you step-by-step in how to transfer your image to the rubber block, carve out your design, and apply ink.
For this session, we’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage. Bring your creativity and images or ideas that represent your heritage, whether it’s your favorite cultural foods, flowers, animals or anything that speaks to your roots.
Important: Please bring 2-3 design options on paper that fit within 4x6 inches. You may also freehand your design. If you do not have access to a printer, please send your image to info@yesimakesart.com (1 page per person).

What is block printing?
Block printing is a printing method that uses hand carved wood, linoleum or rubber blocks to transfer ink onto paper or fabric. The hand carved block serves as a stamp that can be used to create patterns. It is known as one of the oldest forms of all textile printing methods.
